Alma Thomas Hearts Art Project

In this colorful project, students will create a heart-themed artwork inspired by Alma Thomas’s signature style. They will draw and cut out a heart shape, then use bold colors and patterns to fill their artwork with energy and movement, just like Alma Thomas. The project combines collage and optional coloring supplies to create a finished piece that celebrates both love and artistic expression.

  • Two 9x12 sheets of colored construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Optional coloring supplies:
    • Tempera paint sticks, oil pastels, or markers
